Most sites are first-come, first-served, though group reservations should be secured well in advance during peak months. Summer is the prime season here, with July and August offering the warmest days and the clearest views. Early risers will catch golden light spilling across the valleys, and the night sky is nothing short of spectacular, far from any city glow. Bring layers, though, as mountain evenings cool down quickly even in midsummer.
