Our Take
What makes Superbowl Campground special
Superbowl Campground drops you right into the red rock heartland of southeastern Utah, where the Indian Creek corridor meets the vast desert canvas of Bears Ears National Monument. With 37 sites spread across an open, high-desert landscape, this campground places you within easy reach of the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park and some of the finest crack climbing on the continent. The setting is pure canyon country. Sandstone walls glow amber and crimson in the low-angle light of morning and evening, while the night sky overhead unfolds into a breathtaking display of stars that you simply cannot find near any city. Indian Creek itself is legendary among climbers, but the area also rewards hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone drawn to the quiet immensity of the desert Southwest. Sites at Superbowl are straightforward and well-suited to both tent camping and smaller RV setups. Spring and fall are the prime seasons here, when daytime temperatures hover in the comfortable range and the surrounding landscape comes alive with wildflowers or the golden hues of cottonwoods along the creek. Summers can run hot, and winters bring cold nights and occasional snow. If you have ever wanted to feel truly small beneath an enormous sky, Superbowl Campground is the kind of place that delivers that feeling every single evening.
