Our Take
What makes The Ledge Campground special
Set in the heart of a sweeping red rock valley near Moab, Utah, The Ledge Campground is where adventure meets spectacle. As part of a larger complex spanning five campgrounds with 105 total sites, The Ledge offers the kind of scale and variety that makes finding your perfect spot genuinely possible, whether you are in a tent, a camper van, or a full-size RV. The surrounding landscape is pure Moab magic. Towering sandstone walls glow amber and crimson in the shifting light, and the terrain that sprawls in every direction is a world-class playground for off-highway vehicles and mountain bikers. ATV and UTV enthusiasts will find miles of trails ranging from mellow cruises to technical challenges, while mountain bikers can access legendary singletrack that has helped put Moab on the global cycling map. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are both within easy reach for those drawn to hiking, photography, and geological wonder. With 105 sites across the complex, there is generally good availability, but spring and fall weekends are the most popular and reservations are wise during those peak seasons. March through May and September through November offer the most comfortable temperatures for outdoor activity. Summer brings intense heat, though early morning and evening excursions remain rewarding. If you want a campground that drops you right into the beating heart of red rock country with trails at your doorstep, The Ledge is hard to beat.
