Our Take

What makes ROCKY BRANCH CAMPGROUND special

Set along a rocky, tree-lined arm of Beaver Lake just outside Rogers, Rocky Branch Campground brings together the best of Ozark Mountain camping with the convenience of nearby urban amenities. The campground takes its name from the rocky creek bed that feeds into the lake, where clear water tumbles over mossy stones before opening into a broad swimming-friendly cove. Anglers flock here for trophy-class striped bass and smallmouth, casting from the bank at dawn or trolling the deeper channels by boat. Mountain bikers will appreciate the proximity to world-famous trails in Bentonville and the Slaughter Pen network, while road cyclists can pedal the Razorback Greenway for miles of paved riding. The Ozarks deliver four distinct camping seasons. Spring offers blooming redbuds and cool mornings, summer hums with lake activity and firefly-lit evenings, fall showcases a brilliant palette of hardwood color, and mild winter weekends reward those who venture out with solitude and crisp air. Rocky Branch is a natural fit for active families, friend groups coordinating a lake weekend, or couples looking for a scenic home base near the cultural attractions of Crystal Bridges Museum and the bustling Rogers downtown square.
